Teachers union president, and local labor council president 1990s INVOLVEMENT: Longtime listener and contributor. WHYSERVE: I have an abiding interest in seeing that public radio continues to thrive. REPRESENTATION: I'm quite familiar with our congressional and state representatives and have lobbied for issues for my profession. I would feel extremely comfortable talking to congressional or state representatives on behalf of public radio. FUNDRAISING: Obviously I would continue to support WPR with my own contributions, but I would also be open to speaking to groups, or approaching individuals to encourage financial support. FEEDBACK: By making myself aware of listeners thoughts, I will bring ideas to the Board for consideration . RESPONSIBILITY: I will make decisions on the Board in a manner in which listeners get the most bang for their buck both in terms of expenditures for technology as well as programming.
